“There is a tide in the affairs of men.” Time now to act.

William Shakespeare Business Coach:

"There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and miseries.

On such a full sea we are now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures."

There has never been a better time to be in business.  Regardless of pandemics or world affairs.  How do we know this to be “true”?

Because apart from times where our very existence is uncertain – it is ALWAYS such a time.  We humans will, if hesitancy is allowed to intervene, always defer the actions we need to take.  We are better served by action toward our preferred outcomes than inaction and stagnation.

When we act, we achieve or fail.  If we achieve, we continue to act.  When we fail, we learn, we adapt.  It is the nature of evolution.  The speedier the actions, the faster the adaptions, the improvements.

In your business, you need a good (written) strategy, you need an action plan, and you need metrics to measure your progress.  Only three things.  If you are stuck, you are missing one or two or all the elements.

Simplify, then act.  Start today.  THIS is that time in YOUR affairs – when you choose to take the tide that leads to fortune.
