Local Internet Marketing in a NUTSHELL!

When people search Google for a service like yours – if there is a geographical identifier (eg Townsville), a map will appear.  On the map will be only seven letters (A through G), and some other little “dots”.  Each letter will be listed NEXT to the map – showing your business details.  Those businesses who are not in the TOP 7 – and miss out on a letter – get a weak marketing ‘dot’.

So – unless you manage to be in the top 7 for the search term – you wont get ANY traffic from Google Local Search.  You can still get some from being in the “organic” listings – remember these are the websites listed BELOW the map – and usually only Top 10 are listed on the first page.
